This is a perfect hike for any season but June offers an unique sight of white, pink, yellow and red azaleas on Gregory Bald but October will offer the splendid view of orange, yellow and red of fall colors for many miles of viewing. Your work will be cut out for you because after you pass campsite 12 you will have to climb about 800 ft/mile for the next 2.5+miles. Along this stretch you will see large growth trees, mountain laurel tunnels and spring wildflowers. The toughest part of this hike is the ascent and selecting what frame you will put your pictures in. These memories will last a lifetime.
